Songa Shipmanagement Ltd. – Meeting Rooms and Digital Signage

Requirements

Songa Shipmanagement Ltd. were looking to replace and update the Videoconferencing equipment within two of their meeting rooms at their Glasgow headquarters.

The main requirements included:

• Implement a video conferencing solution with high quality camera and microphones with compatibility for Microsoft Teams
• Include a wireless and trouble-free content-sharing experience for laptops
• Integration of a room booking system with "at a glance" detail of room availability and location

The Solution

After discussion and successful trial the solution was provided using the following equipment:

• Yealink MeetingBar A30 All-in-One Video Collaboration Bar for Microsoft Teams Rooms. The dual-eye camera system features an optical camera with 10X hybrid zoom and a 4K camera with 120° field of view, delivering a clear visual experience with depth. The built-in 8 MEMS microphone arrays and speakers in Yealink MeetingBar completely cover up to 6-meter medium-sized spaces
• The Yealink CTP18 8” Collaboration Touch Panel provides a one-touch start or to join a meeting, all meeting controls can be navigated on CTP18 with just a touch or a swipe of your finger, including previewing and adjusting the camera, changing the participant layouts and recording
• Yealink wireless presentation pod WPP30 brings a trouble-free content-sharing experience to any conference room. Empowered with up to 4K/30FPS UHD hardware encode streaming output, WPP30 saves a lot of effort by eliminating the installation of any software or driver. delivering a clear and stable casting experience with low latency
• Yealink Room Panel for Microsoft Teams is a dedicated Microsoft Teams device with compact touchscreen and is mounted outside the meeting space, displaying meeting details scheduled via Teams or Outlook 365 calendaring applications. The panel is also enabled for reserving an available room on the spot and indicating current room status
• To complete the meeting room installations, a Samsung 4k resolution, commercial grade display was wall mounted in each of the rooms providing UHD images
