Clydesdale Housing Association - Video Conferencing

Requirements

As a charitable Registered Social Landlord, Clydesdale Housing own and manage over 740 properties throughout the Clydesdale area of rural South Lanarkshire.

The Association asked us if we could advise them on a suitable videoconferencing system to be used within the Community Hub Headquarters in Lanark.

The requirements included:

• Provide a video conferencing solution with high quality camera and microphones with compatibility for Microsoft Teams
• Include a wireless and trouble-free content-sharing experience for laptops
• Provide easy set up with minimum involvement of staff

The Solution

After discussion a proposal was submitted detailing the following equipment:

• Yealink MVC940 GEN3 Microsoft Teams Rooms system for medium and large rooms. The system comprises an MCore Kit C5 Pro-mini PC which comes fully configured for Teams. The Yealink AV Hub providing all necessary processing
• 2x UVC84 PTZ 12 x Zoom cameras ensure full video coverage
• 2x CM20 ceiling mounted microphones which offer 360 degree voice pick up. 2 x CS10 Low profile ceiling mounted speakers provide crystal clear audio to and from all participants
• Yealink wireless presentation pod WPP30 brings a trouble-free content-sharing experience to any conference room. Empowered with up to 4K/30FPS UHD hardware encode streaming output, WPP30 saves a lot of effort by eliminating the installation of any software or driver. delivering a clear and stable casting experience with low latency
• The Yealink M-Touch 11.6” Panel provides a one-touch start or to join a meeting, all meeting controls can be navigated with just a touch or a swipe of your finger, including previewing and adjusting the cameras, changing the participant layouts and content sharing
• To complete the meeting room installations, 2 x existing displays were incorporated into the system providing a clear view of meetings and presentations for everyone

Summary

After providing on-site training and support for staff, Clydesdale Housing now have a fully functional meeting space where Videoconferencing and stand-alone presentations are set-up and arranged in minutes.
